Community Liaison
Community consultation continues to play a vital role in delivering a site that is valued by current and future residents. A public exhibition was held at the Rosliston Forestry Centre on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May 2008. More than 200 local residents attended and provided their feedback about what they would and wouldn’t like to see on the site.
A second event was held on Friday 26th September 2008 and Saturday 27th September 2008 which was attended by 120 members of local communities.
In addition comments have also been submitted through a comment form on this website and by emailing drakelowpark@beattiegroup.com
The information gathered at the public exhibitions, meetings and through the website has been used to inform the final masterplan for the site.
A liaison group is being created, comprising of members of the community, local groups, parish and ward councillors from surrounding areas, as well as representatives from the Drakelow Park project team.
The group, which will meet once a quarter, is designed to maintain open lines of communication between residents and interested local groups and the Drakelow team to allow issues and ideas to be raised throughout the application process and on the detailed planning application.
