Residents Invited To Contribute To Drakelow Regeneration Scheme

A two-day public consultation event is being held so that local residents can get involved in the long term regeneration of a major brownfield site at Drakelow, near Burton on Trent.

Roger Bullivant Ltd (RBL) owns a site at Drakelow which is used for a variety of light industrial activities, which is adjacent to the Drakelow power station site, which is owned by E.ON.

The two companies have been in discussion with regards to the potential development of the underutilised areas of the two brownfield sites deliver sustainable development to meet local housing and employment needs.

Chris Chatfield from RBL says: "Community consultation will play a vital role in delivering a site that is valued by current and future residents.

"We hope the local community is able to attend these first events and provide their ideas so that we can incorporate them into a masterplan for regeneration of these strategic brownfield sites."
